As early as 2003, SHOEI had tailored the X-Eleven DAIJIRO replica helmet for Daijiro Kato, which was originally intended to be released as a commercial model. However, just before the release, the driver himself died unexpectedly at the Japanese GP at the age of 26.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In order to respect Daijiro Kato’s wishes, SHOEI obtained the consent of his family and changed this hat model into a commemorative version, and officially released it on July 4 (Daijiro Kato’s birthday). The upcoming “X-Fifteen DAIJIRO” continues this tradition. The X-Fifteen DAIJIRO uses the classic color scheme used by Daijiro Kato in the 2003 season, and is available in two color options: yellow and blue (TC-3) and red and blue (TC-1).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The X-Fifteen series of helmets inherit the safety protection and comfort of MotoGP competition specifications. The helmet body is made of multi-layer composite fiber material, which is lightweight, highly rigid and highly elastic. It has passed JIS standards, MFJ standards and FIM international competition certification. The X-Fifteen DAIJIRO is also equipped with a ventilation system to prevent fogging inside the helmet, a design that provides a wide field of view, and a drinking system that allows riders to replenish water while riding, etc., taking into account the needs of track riders in all aspects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
